Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen at NRS Group of Companies for an experienced loading shovel driver operator to move, load and stockpile materials at our waste management sites and recycling centre. NRS specialise in aggregates supply, waste management and haulage services throughout the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Safety: Adhere to site traffic management systems, health and safety regulations and policies, and environmental controls, following safe systems of work.
- Operate Machinery: Drive and manoeuvre wheeled loading shovels safely within production areas.
- Load and Unload: Fill plant feed hoppers and load lorries.
- Material Management: Transport and organise aggregates into stockpiles.
- Equipment Checks: Conduct daily pre-start visual and mechanical inspections, report defects immediately, and maintain basic routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle.
The successful candidate:
- Experience: Record of operating heavy mobile plant machinery and front-end loading shovels.
· Certifications: Full UK driving licence is required due to multi-site coverage all local in the Midlands area. Valid mobile plant competency certification would be an advantage.
· Skills: Practically minded, strong spatial awareness, and a reliable, punctual work ethic. A’ can do’ approach to working, team player and able to work on own initiative.
Working Environment:
- Conditions: Primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions, operating heavy machinery within busy, fast-paced environments.
- Good rates of pay- dependant on experience.
- Hours of work: 50 hours per week plus overtime when applicable.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
