Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records usings accounting software Xero and other relevant platforms.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support organisational decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and standards, maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial management or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor colleagues or interns is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory for all applicants.
