Backup Cleaner – Flexible Weekend & Holiday Cover
Job Summary
We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented backup cleaners to support our existing cleaning team across our hospitality properties and entertainment venue.
This is a flexible, ad-hoc role suited to someone who can provide additional cover during weekends, staff absences, holidays and busy periods, sometimes at short notice. Hours will vary depending on operational requirements and are not guaranteed each week.
Previous experience in hotel, serviced accommodation or hospitality cleaning is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to a high standard before check-in
- Change bed linen and towels and ensure rooms are fresh and well presented
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens, communal areas, back-of-house spaces and entertainment floors
- Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise all required areas
- Complete cleaning tasks within the allocated turnaround time
- Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items or safety concerns promptly
- Follow cleaning checklists, hygiene procedures and health and safety standards
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies when required
- Work collaboratively with the wider cleaning and operations teams
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional cleaning experience
- Hotel or serviced accommodation experience is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Reliability, punctuality and good time management
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning checklists
- Flexibility to cover shifts, including occasional short-notice requests
- Physical ability to undertake cleaning duties, including lifting, bending and standing
- Weekend availability is essential
- A UK driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage due to work across different locations
Working Arrangements
- Flexible, ad-hoc shifts based on operational requirements
- Primarily weekend, holiday and absence cover
- Additional weekday shifts may also be offered
- Potential for more regular hours depending on availability, performance and business needs
