Stainless Steel / Aluminium Fabrication Engineer

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a skilled Stainless Steel / Aluminium Fabrication Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Liversedge. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator looking to join a supportive team environment, with full product training, ongoing guidance and the chance to work regular overtime.
The Role
This is a hands-on fabrication role suited to a fully skilled and motivated engineer with experience working with stainless steel and aluminium. You will be joining a small team of experienced fabricators and will be expected to work to a high standard, using your own initiative and producing quality work with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Fabrication of stainless steel and aluminium components to a high standard
- TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Using a range of fabrication techniques and workshop machinery
- Supporting production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Working independently as well as as part of a skilled fabrication team
Experience with CNC press brake and powered guillotine machinery would be a distinct advantage.
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A relevant engineering or fabrication qualification, ideally to City & Guilds standard or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sheet metal fabrication role
- Strong TIG/MIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminium
- The ability to work from your own initiative and to a high standard without supervision
- A flexible approach to working hours when required
- Good physical fitness and a practical, hands-on approach
- The right to work in the UK
- Be located within a commutable distance of Liversedge
Working Hours & Overtime
Standard working hours are:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Breaks include:
- 15-minute paid morning break
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
- 15-minute paid afternoon break
Regular overtime is available, with flexibility around working arrangements following induction. Different overtime options are available depending on preference and business needs.
