Why join us
Since our first store opened in London in 1869, we’ve offered delicious food at competitive prices all over the country. What’s more, we’ve been able to innovate and provide what our customers want, almost before they know they want it. That’s down to people like our Range Merchandisers — and pretty soon, that could be someone like you.
What you’ll do
You’ll use your skills in data analysis to identify trends and turn them into meaningful insight. And you’ll change what a range carries by combining historical data, range and space expertise, market insights and category knowledge with a category’s commercial strategy. That way, you’ll spot range opportunities and offers that customers want.
It’ll see you manage events for the range and support the Range Analyst with key initiatives across functions. You’ll also act as a business partner with stakeholders to project manage ranging and merchandising within their area.
Who you are
Analytical with project management experience, you’ll have a good understanding of merchandising principles — and how to apply them. You’ll be adept at data analysis and spotting trends, and comfortable handling multiple projects with different timelines and stakeholders.
Your product, market and consumer knowledge will be key, and that will help you make decisions even when there are conflicting demands. You’ll also be able to build a network right around the business, and have the confidence to present a clear, convincing point of view. Lastly, you’ll be comfortable with ambiguity and happy to try a number of approaches until you find the one that works.
