Overview
The trustees are looking for an experienced Administrative Program Coordinator, preferably with a background in the voluntary/charity sector, who can manage existing grant giving in addition to providing full administrative and financial support to the trustees.
There may also be an opportunity to play a co-ordinating role with key stakeholders in upcoming regeneration activities in the area.
This role will be home-based with occasional off-site meetings. Priority will be given to candidates who are enthusiastic and committed to making sure the Strathleven Foundation makes a difference to the people and communities within Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven.
Responsibilities
- Promoting the availability of the Foundation’s funding for good causes through newsletters, pro-active communications, and the Foundation website
- Liaising across partner organisations – accountant, bank, public sector, OSCR.
- Co-ordinating and progressing potential regeneration opportunities with key stakeholders
- Ensuring all appropriate legal, financial and governance requirements are brought to the attention of Trustees
- Providing regular feedback to the board of trustees
- Dealing with all enquiries
- Checking applicant eligibility and answering technical questions
- Processing applications for trustee consideration
- Supporting the chair of trustees and other members of the board as required
- Servicing board meetings including the preparation of all reports
- Compiling reports of the board’s decisions and maintaining records of decisions
- Inputting and collation of data on CRM system
- Processing the payment of awards when approved
- Handling rejection communications
- Offering back-up and monitoring of the awards as required by the board
- Ad-hoc general administrative duties as required
Skills
- Understand the procedure of making awards to good causes
- Have great attention to detail
- Be methodical and self-motivated
- Be able to work under pressure to tight time scales
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Be IT literate with experience in Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word & Excel
- Demonstrate empathy with the objectives of the Foundation
- Be a self-starter
Pay: £20.80 per hour
