Maintenance Person / Handyman
Minster Grange Care Home
Minster Grange Care Home is looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Person / Handyman to join our friendly team and help keep our home safe, well maintained and comfortable for our residents.
Hours
- Full time or part time considered
- Flexibility may be required
Duties will include
- General maintenance and repairs around the home
- Basic plumbing, decorating and DIY tasks
- Carrying out routine safety checks
- Maintaining the garden and outdoor areas
- Ensuring the home is kept in good repair at all times
- Liaising with external contractors when required
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff
The successful applicant will
- Have previous maintenance, handyman or property maintenance experience
- Be practical, organised and able to work independently
- Have a good understanding of health and safety
- Be reliable, trustworthy and respectful when working around elderly residents
- Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
Experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
