Job Summary:
K5 Engineering Solutions Ltd. is seeking an Engineering Resource Manager to coordinate the people, technical capacity, and resources required across engineering activities. This role will maintain a clear view of current and upcoming demand, helping engineering teams allocate capability effectively across projects and service commitments.
What You'll Do:
- Manage resource allocation across engineering projects and technical work
- Review upcoming demand against available engineering capacity
- Coordinate engineers, technicians, contractors, and specialist resources
- Work with project leads to understand changing resource requirements
- Identify potential capacity gaps and recommend practical solutions
- Balance competing priorities across simultaneous engineering assignments
- Maintain resource schedules and forward-looking availability information
- Support decisions involving additional contractors or specialist capability
- Monitor utilisation and highlight areas of under- or over-allocation
- Coordinate resource changes when project schedules or priorities shift
- Provide management with clear updates on capacity, demand, and future resource needs
Requirements:
- Experience in engineering operations, resource management, workforce planning, project delivery, technical services, or a related field
- Strong planning and resource coordination abilities
- Good understanding of engineering or technical working environments
- Ability to balance multiple projects and changing priorities
- Confident communication with engineering teams and project stakeholders
- Comfortable working with capacity, scheduling, and workload information
- Strong organisational and practical problem-solving skills
- Previous management or resource-planning experience is advantageous
- Engineering, operations, project management, or related qualifications are helpful, with relevant transferable experience also considered

Pay: £65,000.00 per year
