The Role
As a Van Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vans and light commercial vehicles. You will also carry out PTO (Power Take-Off) servicing and repairs, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose faults and undertake mechanical repairs on a wide range of vans and commercial vehicles.
- Perform fault finding using diagnostic equipment.
- Service, maintain, and repair PTO (Power Take-Off) systems.
- Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks.
- Accurately complete service documentation and maintain detailed job records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 LGV qualification (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience servicing and repairing vans and light commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Pay: £16.00 per hour
