Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving and Transport: Safely drive company vehicles along planned routes.
- Loading and Lifting: Load, secure, and unload heavy furniture items using straps, blankets, and dollies.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, communicate delivery windows, and place items in the room of choice.
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble furniture or set up items when required.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on the vehicle
- Documentation: Check off items against inventory lists and collect customer signatures
Requirements and Qualifications
- Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence (Category B for standard vans, or Category C1/7.5T for larger trucks) with a clean record or minimal penalty points.
- Physical Fitness: Able to perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical work.
- Communication Skills: Polite, friendly, and able to solve basic problems on-site.
- Experience: Previous multi-drop, commercial driving, or warehouse background is preferred.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
