A private Estate in West Berkshire, is seeking a hard-working and proactive Housekeeper with exceptional attention to detail to care for a beautiful listed home within stunning grounds. This is a full-time, permanent position and is offered on a live-out basis.
The property has five bedrooms set over two floors and is home to very appreciative Principals. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the home to a high standard and be comfortable working both as part of a team and independently.
This is a part time residence where flexibility is key when the Principals are in residence with time in lieu given when the family is travelling. Weekend working is essential.
Cooking skills although not essential for the role would be highly advantageous.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Housekeeping duties
Laundry and ironing
Bed changing
Keeping the home clean, tidy and well organised
Caring for delicate surfaces and furnishings
Wardrobe management
Occasionally assisting in kitchen
Any other housekeeping duties required to ensure the smooth running of the household
The ideal candidate will:
Be organised, proactive and self-motivated
Have excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
Be willing to work weekends and be flexible when the Principals are in residence.
Be discreet, trustworthy and reliable
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Days & Hours: Full-time 40 hours p/w over 5 days p/w (Mon – Sun flexible)
Salary: £30,000 + opportunity to increase via performance related bonus
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
