Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide elderly care and companionship. This role involves supporting seniors in maintaining their independence, ensuring their well-being, and offering social engagement. Responsibilities
- Assist elderly clients with daily activities such as dressing, shopping and mobility.
- Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and emotional support
- Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Assist with light household tasks including meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning
- Accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition
- Ensure a safe environment by recognising potential hazards and following safety protocols
Skills
- Driving licence and car essential
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not required
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for admin and communication purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with elderly clients
- Compassionate attitude with patience, respect, and sensitivity towards older adults’ needs
Pay: £13.25 per hour
