Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of vehicles while delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out servicing, repairs and routine maintenance
- Repair and replace vehicle components, including brakes, suspension, clutches and engines
- Carry out MOT preparation and vehicle inspections
- Identify faults accurately and provide effective repair solutions
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Complete work to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
- Keep accurate records of work completed
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience as a qualified or experienced vehicle mechanic
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively
- Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are desirable
