Site Supervisor/Electrical Commissioning Engineer
We are looking for an experienced, electrically qualified individual to join our client in a varied site-based role.
The position will involve working on electrical and energy-related projects across the UK, including overseeing site activities, supporting installation teams and carrying out testing and commissioning work. This will be on systems mainly in a commercial setting, that also include battery systems.
The role will involve regular travel, working at height and occasional overnight stays.
The Role
- Supervising and supporting site teams
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Carrying out testing, commissioning and fault-finding
- Working with electrical and associated systems
- Reading and understanding technical information
- Supporting site installations and resolving issues as they arise
- Carrying out general site-based duties as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified electrician — essential
- Relevant electrical qualifications and experience
- Experience within electrical, renewable energy, solar or related industries
- ECS Card — essential
- Working at heights - essential
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Confident using power tools and general site equipment
- Good practical and mechanical knowledge
- IT literate, including email and job management systems
- DBS checked or willing to undertake a DBS check
- Previous supervisory or site management experience would be advantageous
About You
- Electrically qualified and experienced
- Comfortable working on site and supervising others
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Able to work at height
- Practical and confident using tools
- Comfortable travelling throughout the UK
- IT literate and able to complete basic job documentation
- Previous experience within the electrical, renewable energy or construction sectors would be beneficial
