Your Role as Kitchen Assistant at Sleaford Hall
In this influential and rewarding role, you will help shape the highest standard of care by:
· Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold meals as and when required with particular attention to correct menu orders and signature,
· Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary and take into account the preferences of individual residents,
· Wash up after meals and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and where appropriate, the dining areas) is carried out effectively,
· Understand and ensure the implementation of the care home’s Health & Safety policy, Emergency and Fire procedures and COSHH,
· Ensure stock rotation. Order stock, check deliveries and check and value stock as required,
· Build relationships with residents to their likes and dislikes and understand their needs.

Position available:
Kitchen Assistant 9am-6pm
Sleaford Hall work a 3 on 3 off rota, so some weekend working will be required.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in a catering role within a residential or nursing home - preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting older adults
- A professional, positive and proactive approach to the role
