The Team
Reporting to the Finance Operations Director EMEA, the Finance Operations Manager will play a pivotal role within the EMEA Finance team contributing to the efficient functioning of day-to-day finance operations, development of best practices, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, driving consistency, and strengthening internal control policies & procedures.
A&M is an organization where a hands-on approach is adopted by all - candidates should understand that this is a hands-on role and should be prepared to get involved in the transactional side of accountancy to resolve issues and assist in the development of staff.
How you will contribute
You will assist the Finance Operations Director with the overall leadership of the AP and AR functions which currently number thirty-six staff in multiple locations. Additionally you'll support the Finance Operations Director in taking full ownership of all transactional processes across EMEA, providing insight and guidance across various Finance functions to develop best practices, and ensure compliance with agreed processes are adhered to.

Building relationships with operations teams across EMEA to ensure any issues are resolved in timely manner

Provide guidance to project teams on complex issues to ensure correct accounting treatment is used

Work with finance teams to ensure the smooth running of their teams and help with any operational issues

Assist the EMEA year-end compensation team rectifying transactional issues, preparing analysis and reporting

Involvement in ERP implementation activities particularly in UAT testing and team training

Leverage systems to provide robust data analysis to assist Finance leadership with ad-hoc finance projects e.g. cross border reporting, payment practices, withholding tax analysis

Work with new entity project team on the timely creation of new entity records within our financial systems, and assist finance functions with further individual requirements

Develop and implement improvements to the financial controls and procedures across the team
Functional

Working capital review with Project Revenue team

Review month-end close with AP/AR teams

Oversee revenue allocations that affect P&L profitability by SBU and MD

Dealing with queries/requests for information from auditors, external accountants and employees throughout EMEA to support the statutory reporting function

Work with US Finance team on global audit requirements producing appropriate schedules and reports

Support FP&A function ensuring all management reporting adjustments are processed accurately

Provide transactional support across all Finance and Payroll teams

Help to standardize reports and schedules across all EMEA entities (i.e. BS recs, Fee recs)

Document processes to produce a user guide/Finance manual in preparation for SAP implementation

AI – leverage AI to streamline processes and make reconciliations more efficient

Working with BIU team to create dashboards and improve reporting visibility
Qualifications
You will have strong communication skills and show high levels of emotional intelligence to be able to interact with colleagues. Qualified accountant with 5+ years of finance experience, ideally within professional services

Experience within an international multi-site business with exposure to multi-currency and FX transactions is highly desirable

High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities

Ability to manage deadlines, be results orientated, and maintain high-quality work in a fast‑moving environment
