The Role
We are looking for a hands-on and versatile Maintenance Assistant with strong painting and decorating skills to join our team.
This is a key role supporting the upkeep and presentation of our properties—ensuring all buildings, facilities and guest areas are maintained to the highest possible standard, both functionally and visually.
You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Manager, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance, with a particular focus on maintaining the look and feel of our beautiful estates.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the property.

Take ownership of painting, decorating and finishing tasks, ensuring a high-quality standard throughout.

Assist with planned preventative maintenance programmes to minimise disruption to guests.

Maintain both interior and exterior building fabric, ensuring spaces are safe, functional and visually appealing.

Support general repairs across plumbing, basic electrical, and building works

Ensure Health & Safety compliance at all times, including fire safety awareness and hazard reporting.

Complete required training and support wider team activities as needed
What We’re Looking For

Strong painting and decorating experience (essential).

Good all-round maintenance knowledge, including basic building, plumbing or electrical work.

A practical, adaptable approach with a willingness to take on varied tasks

High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work

Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ/City & Guilds, Health & Safety) are desirable but not essential
