We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and friendly Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at The Roadhouse Hotel.
This is a varied role involving cleaning and maintaining both the hotel and bar, as well as providing a friendly and helpful service to our hotel guests and customers.
We are urgently looking for reliable weekend staff, so the ability to commit to regular weekend shifts is essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Cleaning and preparing hotel bedrooms to a high standard
- Cleaning bathrooms and communal hotel areas
- Cleaning and maintaining the bar and public areas
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting and general housekeeping duties
- Changing beds and replenishing guest supplies
- Emptying bins and maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages when required
- Assisting with hotel check-ins and welcoming guests
- Dealing with basic customer and guest queries in a friendly and professional manner
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to management
- Ensuring guests receive a clean, comfortable and welcoming experience
- Carrying out other reasonable duties as required
The ideal candidate:
- Must be reliable, punctual and committed to their shifts
- Available to work weekends regularly
- Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills
- Hardworking and able to work independently
- Takes pride in their work and has good attention to detail
- Comfortable speaking to customers and hotel guests
- Able to answer telephone calls and deal with basic enquiries
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
Important:
Reliability is extremely important for this position. We are a small team, so when someone is unable to attend a scheduled shift it can have a significant impact on the running of the hotel and bar.
