Café / Takeaway Chef - Immediate Start 18+
We're looking for an experienced, reliable Café / Takeaway Chef to join our team. If you enjoy working in a busy kitchen, take pride in preparing great food, and can keep things running smoothly during busy periods, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be preparing and cooking a variety of meals, helping to keep the kitchen organised, and working closely with the rest of the team to deliver great food and friendly service. You'll also support less experienced team members and help maintain the high standards our customers expect.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a range of café and takeaway food to a high standard.
- Making sure every order is prepared quickly and consistently.
- Following food hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
- Helping to organise the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Supporting and guiding other kitchen staff when needed.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting when supplies need replenishing.
- Working as part of the team to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café, takeaway, or similar busy kitchen.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- The ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
- Someone who takes pride in producing consistently good food.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Reliability, good timekeeping, and a strong work ethic.
