The Hours
This is a 6-hour-per-week contract, with shifts mostly on Fridays.
However we do require weekend availability, along with some flexibility during the week. From time to time, you may be asked to help cover or swap shifts when a member of the team is on holiday or unavailable. Please note that overtime is not guaranteed and will be 6 hours only on a usual week.
What you’ll be doing
As a Scribbler Sales Assistant, you’ll be an important part of making sure our customers have a great experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Your day could include:
- Helping customers find the perfect card or gift - whether they know exactly what they want or need a little inspiration.
- Providing brilliant customer service and creating a welcoming, fun atmosphere in store.
- Operating our computerised till and handling transactions accurately.
- Keeping the store looking its best, including implementing visual merchandising and maintaining our displays.
- Processing deliveries and in-store transfers and making sure new stock gets where it needs to be.
- Replenishing stock and keeping shelves full, tidy and looking fabulous.
- General housekeeping to keep the store clean, organised and ready for customers.
- Carrying out Keyholder responsibilities such as opening and closing the store including cashing up.
- Lone working whilst maintaining exceptional customer service and high store standards
- Supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day tasks and taking on additional responsibilities when required, including helping out in their absence.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, upbeat and approachable, with a genuine enjoyment of working with people.
- Confident speaking to customers and happy to offer help rather than waiting to be asked.
- Reliable and organised, with a good eye for detail.
- A team player who is happy to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
- Flexible and able to work additional shifts when required, subject to availability.
- Comfortable using a computerised till and learning new systems.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
