Boston & Co Cafe is a cafe and events venue in Bentley, Doncaster. We are a dog friendly, customer-focused small business.
We require a Saturday hospitality assistant who can work front of house in the cafe and occasionally in the Kitchen assisting the chefs. The post is currently every Saturday and some Fridays if possible, with additional evening event hours if wanted. The hours may increase for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidate is a friendly and outgoing person, who understands the importance of good customer service, who stays calm under pressure and brings their own flare to our small business. We are looking for someone who has experience working in hospitality and a basic knowledge of food hygiene and cooking practices.
You must:
- Be over 18
- Be ok with dogs as we are very dog friendly
- Be physically able to take on all tasks asked of you (standing for most of your shift, lifting and carrying moderate items)
- Be able to work in a faced paced environment during busy times
- Be able to follow instruction clearly and efficiently
- Have a polite and professional manner
- Work well in a team and have a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Be able to talk to customers confidently and appropriately
- Have the passion to help grow the business
Duties include:
- Serving food and drinks to customers
- Any KP duties when the KP is unavailable or needs assistance such as washing up, removing rubbish etc.
- Safely unpacking and storing food
- Assisting the chef preparing food in the kitchen
-Cleaning down the service areas after use
- Take orders through the till system
Hours:
Hours are 6 per week but will increase based on the candidate and demand.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.75 per hour
