Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and well-being of children in our nursery setting, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children to foster their early learning experiences. A background in early childhood education, childcare, or nursery experience is essential, along with strong communication skills and a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
- Support children’s individual needs through personalised care and attention.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Assist in the organisation of daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods.
- Support the management team in implementing policies and procedures related to childcare standards.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, management skills, and leadership within the team.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment of children's progress and prepare reports for parents and guardians.
- Participate in training programmes to enhance your skills in early childhood education and childcare practices.
- Occasionally support driving responsibilities for outings or trips when required.
Experience
- Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Demonstrated management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in organising activities that support child development milestones.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting outings or transportation needs. Pay: £24,420.00-£41,889.14 per year
