Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Roofers to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a range of skills from traditional roofing techniques to modern fabrication methods. Duties
- Install new roofing systems following technical specifications and schematics
- Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing materials with precision and care
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Utilise welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other construction skills as required
- Conduct inspections to ensure roofing work meets safety standards and quality benchmarks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets
- Apply waterproofing techniques and sealants to ensure durability of roofing systems
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields such as carpentry or masonry
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
- Experience with plumbing or masonry is advantageous but not essential
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to roofing work and construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
