Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring the safety of products and personnel
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during all driving activities
- Assist in loading or unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving background
- Familiarity with flatbed vehicles and their specific handling requirements
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps effectively
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
