Based on the popular Stranmillis rd in Belfast, Hendrix’s restaurant is recruiting a part time chef/cook for a busy restaurant (4-5 nights per week, Saturday, Sunday & two-three nights mid week)
so we need someone flexible with time & working days, available to work weekends
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- bring knowledge in different styles of cuisine
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment is esse
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
