Kingdom is one of Kent’s most unique destination venues — a place where café culture, wellness, events, nature, and community come together. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead the venue into its next phase of growth.
The Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of Kingdom. You’ll lead from the front, creating exceptional guest experiences while developing a passionate, motivated team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in dynamic hospitality environments and takes pride in building both people and culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Oversee all daily venue operations, ensuring consistently high standards across service, presentation, and guest experience.
- Lead service planning, staffing, shift management, and venue readiness.
- Maintain strong operational systems and ensure smooth communication between departments.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing hospitality team.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable culture.
- Lead by example with energy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Drive team engagement and ongoing development.
Commercial Performance
- Support the commercial success of the venue through effective labour management, stock control, and cost awareness.
- Work alongside senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Guest Experience & Brand Development
- Champion exceptional hospitality at every guest touchpoint.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and the wider Kingdom community.
- Support events, collaborations, and seasonal initiatives alongside the wider group team.
- Help continue to grow Kingdom’s reputation as one of Kent’s leading hospitality destinations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a General Manager or senior hospitality leader within a high-quality restaurant, hotel, members’ club, or lifestyle venue.
- Is passionate about hospitality, food, wellness, and creating memorable experiences.
- Leads with warmth, confidence, and integrity.
- Is commercially aware, highly organised, and solutions-focused.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Understands the importance of culture, community, and attention to detail.
