Kensington is looking for one part housekeeper and laundry assistant to join the expanding team for 20 hours a week, including alternative weekend working.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the care home. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in providing high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in a cleaning in a Care Home setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This will also include working in the laundry. The position is suitable for those seeking part-time employment with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

Duties
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linens and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment
- Laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising linen
- Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues or damages
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or client requests promptly and professionally
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Experience in cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with residents and team members
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This may suit someone looking to work during school hours, although Kensington Care Home is open 24/7, 52 weeks a year so alternative weekend, and working during school holidays, will also be required.
