Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving responsibilities with machine operating and warehouse tasks. Duties
- Safely operate company vans to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring items are handled with care and stored securely in the warehouse
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stock replenishment, inventory checks, and order picking
- Heavy lifting of goods and equipment as required, maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and update inventory records regularly
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues quickly
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safe vehicle operation
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, including stock handling and fork truck experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
