Grounds Maintenance Operative required to join our Landscape Maintenance & Conservation team.
This demanding but hugely rewarding job role provides the opportunity to work on an extensive range of prestigious private estates and world-renowned historical sites. Due to our close alliance with English Heritage and The National Trust there is scope for a varied workload across the Southwest, which ensures job diversity.
Job Specification: We are looking for an enthusiastic, versatile and hardworking individual to join the Cornwall division of our Taunton-based firm. If you are conscientious, love the outdoor life, and want to work in some of the most beautiful parts of the Southwest, then this is the job for you.
The successful applicant will engage in our work schedule of 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) during the summer period, and 3 days per week (Mon-Wed) during the winter. Variable hours reflect differing seasonal demands. No weekend working.

Essential Characteristics
- Experience in grounds maintenance is an advantage
- Communication skills to enable effective team working aimed at satisfying the requirements of demanding clients
- Time management skills to facilitate efficient working to meet deadlines
- Must be capable of doing physically strenuous labour for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold
Desirable Characteristics
- PA1 and PA6 (training will be given if not currently held)
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Local to area/live within reasonable proximity to our Bodmin yard owing to travel requirements during work hours

Summer Period (Mar to Oct) 5 days per week
Mon-Fri: 9.5-hour shift (7.30-5.30)
Winter Period (Nov to Feb) 3 days per week
Mon-Wed: 9-hour shift (7.30-5.00)

Pay: £26,436.00 per year
