Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Office Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic working environment within our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all areas are kept tidy, sanitised, and well-organised, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable, but full training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise all office areas, including desks, workstations, meeting rooms, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum carpets and rugs to ensure floors are spotless
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults or damages
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks during scheduled deep-cleaning sessions or after office events
- Ensure all cleaning activities are completed efficiently within designated timeframes
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations is advantageous
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
