Due to the continued growth of the business we are looking for a detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our team. You'll be responsible for effectively managing claims through to completion in a timely and accurate manner. The role will work closely with insurers, legal representatives, vehicle owners and internal teams to provide expert assessment, resolution and negotiation of claims. The role is essential in protecting financial interests, ensuring fair settlements and delivering high quality service to clients
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: responsible for managing a portfolio of claims from initial notification through to final resolution. This includes gathering all necessary information, assessing liability and value, and ensuring that each claim progresses efficiently and in accordance with internal procedures and service level agreements (SLAs). Responsible for managing daily tasks ensuring accurate recording, tracking and updating of claims information.
Stakeholder Engagement: maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates, responding to queries promptly, and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed of case developments. The ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and maintain confidentiality is critical.
Administration: drafting standard correspondence (e.g. client updates, third-party communications) in relation to the claim. Assisting in the preparation of court bundles and procedural documents. Managing diary/task management and email inbox allocating tasks where appropriate
Vehicle Repatriation & Salvage: Manage the repatriation of damaged vehicles by coordinating with repairers, storage agents, drivers, and Copart. Use Copart’s system to track vehicle collections, movements, and sales. Assess the value of damaged vehicles and salvage assets.
Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of legal standards and regulations

- Competence in using IT systems and preferably case management systems
- Ability to interpret and analyse data and documentation to identify trends, inform decision-making, and improve service delivery

Qualifications
· At least 2 years’ experience in claims handling, insurance claims management or diminution cases at Administrative/Senior Administrative level
· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with case management or CRM systems.
