Could You Make a Genuine Difference?
We are looking for a FEMALE Personal Assistant to join a small, dedicated and supportive team assisting a young woman with complex physical disabilities to live a full, active and meaningful life.
This is far more than a traditional care role. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, motivated and genuinely committed to making a positive difference. We want someone who sees possibilities rather than limitations, enjoys building meaningful relationships and understands that quality support is about enabling someone to thrive, not simply completing tasks.
The successful candidate will be patient, dependable, encouraging, creative, adaptable and able to bring positivity, energy and initiative into every day.
About Abigail
Abigail is a friendly young woman with complex physical disabilities who enjoys music, social interaction, community activities and spending time with people she knows and trusts.
She is currently learning to communicate using specialist assistive communication technology and benefits from support from people who are patient, observant and willing to take the time to understand her individual ways of communicating. Building trust, consistency and positive relationships is extremely important.
We are looking for someone who will support Abigail not only with her physical needs, but also with her communication, confidence, independence, personal development and enjoyment of life.
About the Role
This position is primarily based within Abigail’s family home in Sutton Coldfield, where you will provide one-to-one support as part of a small and dedicated team.
A key part of the role involves supporting Abigail to attend her day centre, community activities, appointments and social opportunities. You will be responsible for driving Abigail’s Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), accompanying her throughout her day and ensuring her care, wellbeing, communication and participation needs are met at all times.
This is a varied and rewarding role requiring someone who is proactive, self-motivated and able to adapt to Abigail’s individual needs. You will play an important part in helping her access opportunities, develop her communication skills, maintain social connections and enjoy a rich and fulfilling life.

What Matters Most
Whilst experience is valuable, attitude is everything.
We can provide training and support. What we cannot teach is kindness, patience, enthusiasm, initiative, reliability and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in another person’s life.
This is a rewarding but hands-on role involving personal care, feeding assistance, moving and handling, communication support and helping Abigail access meaningful opportunities both at home and in the community.
We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We are looking for someone who wants to become part of a team dedicated to helping a remarkable young woman live life to the fullest.
