Job Summary:
The Pre-School Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the early years preschool setting, ensuring a high standard of education and care in compliance with Ofsted and EYFS requirements. This role involves managing staff, developing policies, implementing a quality curriculum, and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment for children.

- Provide strong leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Ensure the pre-school complies with all relevant Ofsted, EYFS, Health & Safety, and Safeguarding regulations.
Curriculum and Child Development:
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum in line with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor children’s learning and development, ensuring that individual needs are met.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports children with additional needs.
- Encourage learning through play, creativity, and structured activities.
Safeguarding, Health & Safety:
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure risk assessments and health and safety procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns.
Parent and Community Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children’s progress.
- Organise parent meetings, workshops, and events to encourage family involvement.
- Liaise with external agencies such as local authorities, early years specialists, and healthcare professionals.
Finance and Administration:
- Manage budgets and financial records to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee the admissions process, ensuring occupancy targets are met.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, staff schedules, and child progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and confidentiality regulations.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and best practices in early years education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks effectively.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
