Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, to transport goods to designated destinations
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring proper securing of loads on flatbeds or other specialized equipment
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures during deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and mileage records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times to protect yourself, colleagues, and the public
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed or similar freight transportation
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
- Nice-to-have skills include delivery driver experience with a focus on freight logistics
- Candidates must meet the relevant UK immigration and job eligibility requirements.
