Job Overview
We are looking for a self employed hairdresser, hair stylist or barber to join our team!
You should be professional, motivated and committed to providing a high standard across every level of service. We are looking for someone confident and familiar with current hair trends, capable of creating bespoke styles on different hair lengths. Ability to do colour and cut kids hair would be a bonus but not essential.
We are a small, friendly and supportive team in the heart of Bath providing expert Hair and Beauty services in our recently refurbished salon. While the business has been established since 1983, it has been under new management since 2024 and we look to create a welcoming hub for all things hair, encouraging creativity as well as regular cuts and styles.
We offer competitive rates as well as commission incentives so you'll have a great earning potential.
You will have your own column on our booking software. Own client base would be beneficial but we will also be happy to work with you on building your clientele.
We are open 6 days a week and welcome flexible working hours.

Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and styling to meet client preferences.
- Provide personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
- Manage front desk responsibilities by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Upsell products and services to maximize client experience and salon revenue while ensuring clients leave feeling pampered.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques, offering guidance, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with health and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related beauty services
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their desired looks.
- Store management abilities including appointment scheduling & inventory control
- Customer service expertise with a friendly approach that builds lasting client relationships.
- Ability to upsell products and services effectively while maintaining genuine care for client needs.
- Mentoring capabilities to support team development and skill enhancement.

Pay: £25,420.00-£53,247.26 per year
