Are you an experienced, reliable sports coach with strong organisational skills and a drive to help support and develop local children?
We are looking for a capable Lead Football/Sports Coach & Operations Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will split your time between leading high-quality coaching sessions and driving backend operational growth (approx. 20 hours coaching / 12 hours office support).
You will be instrumental in delivering our session curriculum (80% football, 20% multi-sports) while helping us manage trial bookings, member administration, and building the foundational systems for our expanding football programs.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Session Delivery (~20 Hours/Week):
- Lead and deliver engaging, high-standard football (80%) and multi-sports (20%) sessions across multiple venues in Liverpool and Halton.
- Manage group dynamics, foster an inclusive and positive environment, and inspire young players.
- Maintain exceptional standards of player safety, welfare, and session setup.
Sales & Operations Support (~12 Hours/Week):
- Respond to enquiries and actively schedule leads into free trial sessions.
- Provide administrative support for member onboarding, queries, and membership record-keeping.
- Support the behind-the-scenes foundation of our football sessions to help streamline logistics as we grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Coaching Qualifications: Minimum FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football (Level 2 / UEFA C or multi-sports qualifications preferred).
- Experience: Proven track record leading sports sessions for young people.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, good IT/admin literacy, and comfort speaking with parents and handling trial bookings.
- Attributes: Proactive, organised, punctual, and capable of taking ownership of both on-pitch delivery and off-pitch admin tasks.
- Transport: Valid UK Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for traveling between venues in Liverpool and Halton).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Work Location & Schedule

- Office Base: Rhys Jones Community Centre, Croxteth, Liverpool (L12 0NB).
- Delivery Venues: Various locations across Liverpool & Halton.
Pay: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
