The Orthodontic Centre, Reading is looking to recruit a full-time Qualified Dental Nurse to join our mixed private and NHS Specialist Orthodontic Practices in Reading & Theale.

The Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Dental Nurse to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified dental nurse with orthodontic experience, or someone keen to develop their skills in a specialist practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining clinical areas in accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Providing excellent patient care and support throughout treatment.
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining equipment.
- Taking clinical photographs and digital scans (where trained).
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team.
- Ensuring compliance with CQC, GDC, and HTM 01-05 standards.
About You
Essential:
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Desirable:
- Orthodontic nursing experience.
- Orthodontic Nursing Qualification.
- Experience with digital scanning and orthodontic software.
- Radiography qualification.

The core working hours are:
Monday 8am-4.30pm, Tuesday 8.15am-5.15pm or 10am-7pm, Wednesday 8.15am-5.30pm, Thursday 8.15am-5.15pm or 10am-7pm and Friday 7.45am-4.15pm with one Saturday morning per month on a rotational basis.
