Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents who are living with dementia and frailty. You will play a vital role in organising and leading the shift, implementing care plans, administering medication, dealing with DN's, GP, Social workers and ensuring that the needs of our residents are met with dignity and respect by the care staff . Strong leadership and communication skills are essential as you work collaboratively with both residents and team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support your colleagues in delivering exceptional care to residents.
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Drive initiatives that promote a safe and engaging environment for all residents.
- Assist in training new staff members on best practices, person centred care and the ethos of the home.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and any changes in their condition.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages resident participation in activities and social events.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.

Experience
- Proven experience in senior care or a related field is highly desirable.
- A level 3 health and social care diploma
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively and lead by example.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Experience in maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
- Knowledge of assessing and writing risk assessments and care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with residents and their families.

07:30-8pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-11am, 8am-2pm, 8am-8pm & 8pm-8am
