Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children within a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised care and support to children, fostering a safe and caring environment.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Support children with their emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement and effective communication.
- Facilitate educational activities and encourage participation in social and community events.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
- Drive children safely to appointments, school, or leisure activities as required.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each child.
- Uphold safeguarding policies at all times, recognising signs of distress or abuse and acting accordingly.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a residential care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare practices.
- Experience in developing or implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children safely when necessary.

Pay: £27,664.00-£29,120.00 per year
