Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Nightshift Labourer to join our busy seafood processing facility. The Nightshift Labourer role involves supporting overnight processing operations within the seafood processing facility by operating and assisting with the prawn washing machine, ensuring products are cleaned efficiently and safely in line with quality control and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the prawn washing machine to ensure the correct and consistent cleaning of product
- Feed prawns into the washing system safely and efficiently
- Record production intake, breakdown totals, and basket counts accurately
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
- Carry out cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas during quieter periods
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures to prevent contamination
- Report any equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns to the Production Supervisor or relevant department
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge of processing techniques
- Ensure the factory and all production lines are fully prepared for the start of the day shift, enabling operations to begin without delays
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by Production Management to support the smooth running of the factory

Pay: From £14.75 per hour
