Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Support chefs with ingredient organisation, washing, peeling, and chopping as required
- Help in setting up the kitchen area for service, including arranging utensils and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen appliances throughout shifts
- Serve meals to customers or staff in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety guidelines
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and basic kitchen practices is desirable
- Experience in food service or culinary roles will be beneficial for understanding customer expectations and operational procedures
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the food industry is highly valued
Pay: £12.50-£12.80 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
