Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop activities to ensure timely completion of repairs and routine maintenance while upholding quality standards
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices
- Monitor the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper handling, maintenance, and storage
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold safety and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with procurement to manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and materials needed for projects
- Provide training and mentorship to workshop staff to enhance skills in mechanical knowledge and tool usage
- Assisting with the delivery of events where required.
- Ensure the necessary number of karts are prepared daily and available for events
- Assist with the maintenance of the venue and circuit where required
- Conduct periodic checks of site plant and vehicles.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Knowledge & experience working with Honda GX engines
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, and clients
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to workshop environments
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience of mechanical work in a motorsport environment, preferable.
Due to the nature of the business weekend work and some evening will be required.
