As a Nursery apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring they receive high-quality care and education.
Duties
- Provide attentive and nurturing care to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring children's needs are met.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery environment and promote positive behaviour among children.
- Collaborate with team members to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating atmosphere for all children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space to ensure a healthy environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences is an advantage.
