We are seeking an experienced and motivated BMU / Cradle Engineer to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), cradles, and associated access systems used for façade cleaning and building maintenance.
You will play a key role in ensuring equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards, working across a variety of commercial and high-rise buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on BMU and cradle systems
- Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components
- Conduct thorough inspections and safety checks in line with LOLER and relevant regulations
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new access equipment
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety regulations
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams professionally on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience working with BMU, cradles, or façade access systems
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Good knowledge of LOLER regulations and working at height safety standards
- Ability to troubleshoot faults independently
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Comfortable working at height and in varied site conditions
- CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
- IPAF / PASMA certification (preferred but not essential)
- SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme)

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
