We are seeking a Kitchen Porter team member to join our friendly kitchen staff at Hidden River Cabins. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our culinary team can operate efficiently. Hidden River Cabins is a growing business and the role would suit someone looking for a career in the industry who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience with a view to taking on more responsibility in the future.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the kitchen works efficiently by taking tasks from the chefs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed.
- Learn methods from the team to improve kitchen efficiency
Requirements
- Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- A positive attitude and reliability
- Enjoy working to targets to improve remuneration
