The Role
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Painter / Paint Sprayer to join our bodyshop team.
You will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to a high standard, including colour matching, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring a quality finish before vehicles move through to completion.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a good eye for detail and can work confidently and independently while being part of a friendly, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and panels ready for refinishing
- Mix and match paint colours accurately
- Apply primers, basecoats and clearcoats to a high standard
- Carry out paint rectification and polishing where required
- Ensure finished work meets our quality standards
- Follow manufacturer repair methods and paint processes
- Carry out your own quality checks before completion
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
- Work closely with the rest of the bodyshop team to keep jobs progressing efficiently
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous vehicle painting experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
- Strong knowledge of vehicle preparation and refinishing processes
- Excellent colour-matching and paint application skills
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to consistently produce a high-quality finish
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining high repair standards
- Full UK driving licence
Preferred
- Relevant paint or bodyshop qualifications
- ATA accreditation or equivalent
- Experience working with modern paint systems and manufacturer repair methods
