Houghton Country is a leading equestrian retailer, and we are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative / E-Commerce Picker & Packer to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, and has a genuine equestrian background or experience, as product knowledge is important in our business.
About the role
You will be responsible for supporting the e-commerce side of the business by ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. The role will also include put away of stock and general warehouse duties.
Key responsibilities
- Picking and packing e-commerce orders accurately
- Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations
- Assisting with goods in and general stock handling
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and efficient
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day warehouse operations
- Carrying out manual handling duties as part of the role
Requirements
- Equestrian experience is essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse, picking, packing, or stock experience is preferred, but not essential
Working pattern
- Monday to Saturday
- Sunday off
- One additional day off during the week
