Dereham | Full Time | Maternity Cover (with genuine long-term opportunity)
Looking for more than just another lettings job?
This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, driven and people-focused Lettings & Property Management Specialist to join our award-winning team at Sowerbys.
Initially, this is a maternity cover position, but we're keen to stress that for the right person, we fully expect this to become a permanent role. We're continuing to grow across Norfolk and have ambitious plans for the future, so we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
Opportunities like this don't come around very often. If you've been looking for a way to build your career with one of Norfolk's most successful and respected estate and letting agents, this is your chance.
You'll become part of a supportive, energetic and genuinely friendly team that works hard, celebrates success and enjoys what we do.
The Role
No two days are ever the same.
This is a varied role covering all aspects of residential lettings, although we anticipate there will be a strong focus on property management, working closely with landlords, tenants and contractors to deliver an exceptional level of service.
Whether you're helping someone move into their new home, resolving a maintenance issue, carrying out a viewing or supporting landlords with advice and compliance, you'll play an important part in delivering the service Sowerbys has become known for.
You'll be trusted, supported and encouraged to develop your skills across every part of the lettings journey.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the team with the full lettings process from initial enquiry through to move in.
- Conducting property viewings when required.
- Registering applicants and matching them with suitable properties.
- Building positive relationships with landlords, tenants, contractors and colleagues.
- Delivering outstanding customer service at every opportunity.
- Managing maintenance works across our portfolio and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Keeping landlords updated on maintenance, legislation and current market conditions.
- Identifying opportunities to grow our portfolio and deliver additional business.
- Developing long-term relationships with landlords to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Supporting the wider team with day to day administration and maintaining accurate records.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and genuinely wants to make a difference.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within residential lettings.
- Experience in property management with a good understanding of tenancy progression and day to day management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload and remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- A good understanding of current lettings legislation and compliance.
- A commercial mindset and confidence in identifying new business opportunities.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use.
Why Sowerbys?
At Sowerbys, we're proud of the culture we've built.
We're ambitious without losing sight of what matters. We invest in our people, encourage ideas, celebrate success and genuinely enjoy working together.
As one of Norfolk's leading independent estate agencies, we're continuing to grow across the county, creating exciting opportunities for people who want more than just a job.
You'll receive ongoing support, training and the chance to develop your career within a business that's constantly evolving.
