Job Overview
Gowercroft Joinery is a bespoke timber window and door manufacture and we are looking for a Frame Press Operative to join our busy manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and pressing frames to the required specifications, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.
The role would suit someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Duties
- Operate frame press machinery safely and efficiently - training will be provided
- Assemble and position components accurately before pressing
- Measure frames and components using appropriate measuring equipment
- Ensure dimensions and specifications are accurate and within required tolerance
- Carry out quality checks throughout the production process
- Identify and report any defects or discrepancies
- Follow production drawings, specifications and work instructions
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area
- Meet production targets whilst maintaining high standards of quality
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Aid in the general running of the machine shop, assisting others when necessary
Qualifications
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to tooling and assembly.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general workshop equipment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or similar production environment is desirable but not essential
