Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, utilising a range of tools and machinery, and applying horticultural knowledge to deliver high-quality results. The ideal applicant will have a passion for gardening and construction, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, and edging tasks
- Operate machinery including excavators for larger landscaping projects
- Conduct general maintenance of outdoor areas, including debris removal and soil preparation
- Assist with construction activities related to landscape design or renovation projects
- Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy plant growth and sustainability
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, and machinery operation is advantageous
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power equipment in outdoor settings
- Previous exposure to construction or horticultural activities is beneficial
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not essential
